Lenox Youth FC is a 15+ year soccer club that serves the Lenox community offering a variety of soccer programs from a recreational league, travel soccer program and winter program for the youth of Lenox. Our club is a parent-run organization that is dedicated to encouraging player development while promoting the community values of sportsmanship, teamwork and work ethic.
Any child that lives or school choices into Lenox can play in both Lenox House and Travel Leagues. Players outside of Lenox will be welcome provided they adhere to BCYSL rules for player transfer and there is an opening on a travel team.
Our program is run by parent volunteers and all parents with a child in a Lenox Youth FC program are expected to volunteer time or resources to support the program. There is always something you can do including coaching, sitting on our soccer board, equipment managers, team-parent contact, uniform committee and team sponsorship. Through parental support, our club remains viable and parents have a direct voice and vote in shaping the direction of the club.
We're proud that many of our players have moved on to the Lenox High School JV/Varsity program, where the Lenox High School program has become an annual state power house for both girls and boys soccer varsity. Many of those players also give back to the program and volunteer time as trainers and coaches in our recreational and travel program.
Soccer in Lenox is indeed a community affair! Mission StatementThe mission of Lenox Youth FC is to offer any child that has an interest in the game of soccer and who is part of the Lenox community a quality soccer program to develop soccer skills and the life lessons of sportsmanship, teamwork and the value of hard work. Lenox Youth FC offers a recreational program and travel program to accommodate players with different aspirations and abilities.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for players to develop individual skills, to understand the game of soccer and how to work cooperatively as team members. Our goal is also to encourage courtesy, proper conduct and respect for all players, officials, coaches and spectators and to instill good sportsmanship and fair play in every child that participates in any program offered by Lenox Youth FC. Most board members plan to serve one to two years so there is always an opening or two each year. It is important for younger parents to get involved to help keep our intergenerational program vibrant and strong. |
