Travel Soccer Information

The Lenox Soccer Travel Program plays in BCYSL (Berkshire County Youth Soccer League).  Travel Teams run in both the Fall and Spring season. The fee per child is decided prior to sign-ups based on the anticipated costs to provide services. Normally this is in the range of $60-$85 per player. There is also a uniform cost which the player will keep and should be able to use for 2-4 seasons. From time to time there may be additional costs for tournaments and other soccer activities like a community trip to watch an MLS game.

Any child which lives in Lenox or school choices into the Lenox School System is eligible to play for Lenox.

Teams practice twice a week in the Fall and play games on Saturdays or Sundays or both, depending on the schedules.  Fall Travel Teams participate in the Dalton Tournament on Columbus Day weekend. Teams can decide on a Memorial Day tournament in the Spring.

Travel Teams play in towns spread across Berkshire County from Wiliamstown to Berkshire Hills.  Each team plays an eight to ten game schedule. Half of the games are home games located in Lenox.

The Lenox Travel program is for kids (and parents) who are prepared for the commitment of multiple practices, some travel and increased competition. We embrace the concept that ALL kids should play with a NO CUTS policy; however, players who miss sign-up deadlines may be excluded from participating because the team has met roster sizes.

Lenox Travel believes in the importance of a well trained coach and the use of professional trainers to enhance the development of soccer skills. Lenox Travel has historically been the feeding system of players for Lenox High School which has consistently been a power house in Western Mass soccer.

It is suggested that parents and players review our club policies for No Cuts, Try outs for team placements and other frequently asked questions. This information is available in the Bylaws and Policy section.
